What It Entails?
This programme is CAYA's calendar of in-person convening — the moments where the network stops being a concept and becomes a room full of people. It has two layers:
- The Continental Summit — CAYA's annual flagship event, bringing together Campus Chapter members, full members, Champions Council leaders, investors, and partners from across Africa and China in one place
- Regional Forums — smaller, more frequent gatherings throughout the year, closer to home for members who can't always travel to the Summit — focused on networking, learning, and cross-chapter collaboration
Who It Benefits?
Both Campus Chapter students and full members — this is one of the few programmes that spans the entire CAYA journey rather than belonging to one phase. Students get early exposure to the wider network and a preview of what full membership looks like; full members get sustained, recurring opportunities to deepen relationships that started years earlier.
Why It Matters?
Relationships across a continent-spanning network don't sustain themselves through online connection alone — they need recurring, real moments of contact. The Summit and Forums are what keep CAYA's community feeling like a lifelong network rather than a one-time programme members drift away from after graduation. For students, the Summit is often the first time the two-continent scale of CAYA becomes real rather than abstract. For full members, the Forums are where cross-border collaborations and partnerships actually start.
