What It Entails?

The Mentorship Programme pairs members with experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals from CAYA's network, matched deliberately rather than left to chance. Matching considers a member's stage, sector, and specific goals, and the relationship is structured to continue — not a single meeting, but ongoing guidance that evolves as the member's venture does.

Who It Benefits?

Both Chapter and Full Members — mentorship is one of the few CAYA offerings that runs the full length of the journey. A Campus Chapter student gets a mentor to help translate Foundations Training into a real venture; a full member gets a mentor who can speak to scaling, fundraising, and the specific challenges of a maturing business. Many members keep the same mentor relationship across both stages.

Why It Matters?

Curriculum and frameworks can only take a founder so far — most real entrepreneurial judgment is built through proximity to someone who's already made the mistakes you're about to make. Structured mentorship shortens that learning curve significantly, and because CAYA's mentor network spans both Africa and China, members get guidance shaped by two markets rather than one. It's also what keeps the "Ubuntu" value operational rather than aspirational — experienced entrepreneurs actively building up the next generation, not just competing alongside them.
